Decreased libido
1
What is low libido
Characterized by a lack or decrease in sexual interest, activity, pleasure, thoughts, and fantasies; a lack of reactive sexual desire; and a lack of subjective arousal or physiological genital response to sexual stimuli (whether non-genital, genital, or both). There is almost no interest in sex, and there is no subjective or physiological response to sexual stimulation. Primary and secondary according to the time of onset:

Primary low libido : Low sexual desire has been present since the onset of secondary sexual characteristics.
Secondary low libido : Sexual desire was previously normal but decreased later due to acquired factors.
2
Types of low libido
Subjectivity
Women do not experience sexual arousal to any type of genital or non-genital stimulation (e.g., kissing, dancing, watching porn videos, physical stimulation), despite physiological genital reactions (e.g., genital engorgement).

Genitourism
Subjective arousal occurs in response to non-genital stimulation (e.g., porn videos), but no response to genital stimulation. Most often affects women after stopping menstruation. Reduced vaginal lubrication and/or genital sensitivity.

Binding
Subjective arousal for any type of sexual stimulation is lacking or low, women report a lack of physiological genital arousal (i.e., they report needing external lubricants and may indicate that they know that swelling of the clitoris no longer occurs).

Common Causes of Low Libido
Psychological factors
Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem: such as high work stress, working too long, distracting attention day and night, and lack of communication between partners Religion or family factors: Some conservative families or religions view sex as a dirty symbol.

Unpleasant sexual experience
Have experienced sexual violence and negative sexual experiences in the past.

Physiological factors
Menopausal syndrome diseases such as vaginal changes in estrogen levels: Use of aphrodisiac drugs for postpartum estrogen decline: birth control pills, antidepressants, antihypertensive drugs, chemotherapy drugs, fatigue, etc.

Treatments for low libido
1. Improve your lifestyle
Quitting smoking : Cigarette reduces blood circulation, causes insufficient blood supply to the sexual organs and reduces sexual pleasure.
Reduce alcohol intake : Excessive alcohol intake also leads to decreased sensitivity and delayed sexual response.
Exercise regularly : Improves physical strength and enhances sexual enjoyment.
2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Comprehensive treatment by sex counselors, pain specialists, psychotherapists and physiotherapists
Masturbation training :
Helps women become familiar with their bodies and genitalia, identify pleasurable areas, and directly stimulate them. Erotic videos, images, or texts, as well as vibrators, may be used to assist.
Sensate focus exercises :
A partner-based therapy aimed at increasing comfort with sexual intimacy and reducing avoidance related to fear. The goal is to shift focus toward sensory pleasure rather than performance.
Exposure Therapy :
Used to treat avoidance of sexual activity due to anxiety (e.g., in female orgasmic disorder). It helps increase comfort with feared situations (such as being seen nude) and reduces avoidance behaviors.
Couples'communication training :
Improves communication between partners, helping to change thought patterns that contribute to low libido.
3. Medical Treatments
Hormone therapy :
・ Local estrogen therapy for genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM)
・ Treatment for hyperprolactinemia

Treatment of other diseases that may cause symptoms :
For example, stressful urinary incontinence, depression, anxiety, other chronic diseases

Cosmetogynecology surgeries :
In 2010, the Journal of Sexual Medicine mentioned that body image actually plays a very important role in self-confidence and satisfaction in your sex life, so being more confident about your private appearance can also help increase orgasm rates.

PRP Private Injection Treatment :
High concentrations of platelet-derived growth factors are injected around the clitoris, G-spot, and vaginal canal to promote angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), tissue regeneration, and increased sensitivity—potentially leading to stronger orgasms during intercourse.
