Issues related to labia and clitoral hood hypertrophy
Infection
Large labial folds can trap vaginal discharge, making hygiene more difficult and increasing the risk of infection or persistent odor. This is a common concern among patients, especially those who experience recurrent vaginal infections.
Discomfort from local friction
Labia hypertrophy can easily rub against underwear, causing discomfort. This is especially inconvenient when wearing tight clothing or trendy active wear, and may even lead to the folds getting twisted together.
Local pain
Some physical activities put pressure on the vagina such as cycling may cause discomfort or pain.
Disruptive sexual intercourse
During sexual intercourse, the labia may be pulled inward causing pain.
Misdirected urine
When using a squat toilet, it can be more difficult to aim properly and urinate into the toilet, leading to clothing getting wet.
Body insecurity
You may feel uncomfortable about the unusual appearance of your body. When wearing tight-fitting clothing, you might worry that the contours are too visible or appear inappropriate
Difficulty to reach orgasm
Excessive clitoral hood can make the clitoris less easily exposed, may reduce direct stimulation during sexual activity and make it more difficult to achieve orgasm.

Introduction to labia minora and clitoris
Labia Minora are two thin, flap-like structures located inside the labia majora and on both sides of the vaginal opening. They contain a rich supply of nerve endings, making them highly sensitive. In prepubertal individuals, they are often in a closed position, helping to protect the vaginal area. The appearance of the labia minora varies greatly from person to person—some are tucked within the labia majora, while others may protrude. There is no single standard or measurement that defines what is considered “normal” for the labia minora.
The clitoris is the most sensitive part of the female genital area, containing over 8,000 nerve endings. The clitoral hood is a layer of skin that covers the clitoris, like the foreskin in males. Normally, the clitoral hood can be mobilized to fully expose the clitoris, which can make it easier to achieve orgasm during sexual intercourse.

Surgical Patient Testimonials
28-year-old women, Office worker
I'm really satisfied! I used to hate looking in the mirror and seeing my vulva area, but now they look so much pleasant and I'm so satisfied. Plus, the odor and infections have decreased significantly. I trusted Dr. Fang's aesthetic sense; she was very thorough in her examination and explanations during the consultation, which made me feel very reassured. So, after my first consultation, I decided to have my surgery done by Dr. Fang!
35-year-old women, fitness Instructor
Before, wearing tight workout leggings would often cause discomfort due to friction and also didn’t look aesthetically pleasing. Cycling, especially on a spin bike, would easily lead to pain as well. During the procedure, the doctor was extremely professional and attentive. The recovery period after surgery was also much faster than I had expected. I am very satisfied with the results—it has truly improved my condition and allowed me to exercise with much more confidence. I’m sincerely grateful for the doctor’s skill and care!
29-year-old women, Nurse
I used to feel insecure because of my asymmetrical labia and didn’t dare to discuss it with my partner. Deciding to undergo labiaplasty was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Before the procedure, the doctor carefully explained every step, which made me feel very reassured. After the surgery, not only did the appearance became more natural, my confidence also improved significantly.
